35. NFL SuperPro

Did ANYONE expect the Giants to win that game?!
If my team isn't playing, I always root for the underdog, and I'm usually disappointed. Not yesterday!
And if I know Phil Grayfield like I think I know Phil Grayfield, he was cheering on the super-spoilers too!
Don't know Phil? He was the NFL SuperPro, an ex-NFL star with bad knees who wears an indestructible football uniform and uses bad football puns to fight crime.
Fabian Nicieza, you magnificent bastard!

I don't care what anyone says, Brother Voodoo is 100% awesome!

33. The Shadow

The Shadow is truly a great comic creation with a truly awful movie under it's belt. Someone should fix that. Make a kind of "The Shadow Begins" movie.

32. Kyle Baker

Sorry about the delay, we were snowed-in. I guess that means that today will be a multi-post day.
As I'm sure you know, February is Black History month. And what better way to kick it off than to feature an insanely talented and great creator? Kyle Baker!
I don't know what Kyle looks like, so I wanted to pick one of his creations to represent him. ... Whata ya think?
I haven't read Special Forces, but the imagery alone makes me want to pick it up.

What can I say about Harold?
...
...
... um

See you tomorrow, kids!

30. Alicia Masters

Alicia Masters, what a beautiful (albeit fictional) woman. She could love a man even if he was covered in an rocky, orange hide ...or a smooth, metallic skin ...or would occasionally burst into flames. Listen, the point is; it doesn't matter to her, because she can "see" the person that you are on the inside and that is a wonderful concept.

29. Oberon

I know, I know... I should have made this a stand alone Oberon piece. He doesn't get enough love, but I've got a thing for Big Barda, and just the thought of these two physical opposites together was too good to pass up. Thank you, Jack Kirby!

28. Etta Candy

I love Etta Candy, not what they try to pass off nowadays as Etta, but the Golden Age Etta. Whatta Woman, Woo woo!

27. Jimmy Olsen

You may notice the lack of concern on Jimmy's face. Even being tied down next to a huge explosive device becomes only a mild annoyance when you've got an über-cool signal watch. Well, I guess after being Superman's pal for so long you might become a little jaded.

26. Alfred Pennyworth

Alright, so my weekend posting plans didn't work out like I planned. Alfred would have made it work, but as we all know, I am no Alfred.

25. J. Jonah Jameson

I've always been a fan of the Spider-Man books, mostly because of the supporting cast, and J. Jonah Jameson is an unrivaled star in that field. While we're on the subject of unrivaled stars in their field ... nobody draws a better J.J.J than John Romita. NOBODY.

24. I-Ching

Honestly, Before DC's I-Ching was brought to my attention I had never heard of him. In fact, I knew more about the I Ching, the ancient Chinese classic text. And after reading the wiki about the “Book of Changes”, I guess I really didn't know much about that either.
However, now I know that the I Ching is s an ancient symbol system used to identify order in chance events and that I-Ching is a blind martial artist and full-time Super-Mack!

23. Bibbo Bibbowski

I've got to tell you; I'm always looking forward to the next drawing, even when I'm right in the middle of the current one. There are just so many great things to get to on this list. That being said, I've been looking forward to drawing Bibbo Bibbowski for weeks now. There's just something about him. Maybe it's the fact that, while he is a fully grown, tough-as-nails longshoreman, he can still be inspired by his hero.

22. Chubby da Choona

The catch of the day is Chubby da Choona from Grant Morrison and Cameron Stewart's Seaguy . I hate to admit it, but I missed this little gem when it came out back in 2004. Now, after reading all kinds of great things about this 3-issue mini series, it becomes imperiative that I seek it out.
Also, (thanks to Bill) I couldn't help but put just a hint of Ernest Borgnine in Chubby's mug.

21. Jughead Jones

We're finished with acronym week. Now on to Supporting Characters!
I'm not sure if it's fair to call Jughead a "supporting" character, He's clearly the most interesting person in the Archieverse. I mean, Come ON! Look at all the spin-off titles Bill Listed: Jughead Comics, Jughead’s Diner, Jughead as Captain Hero , Jughead's Baby Tales, Jughead’s Time Police, and (a spin-off of a spin-off) a comic featuring Jughead’s dog, Hot Dog. And that's not even all of them.
Don't get me wrong, I like Archie, but he's no Jughead.

20. H.A.R.D. Corps

The H.A.R.D. Corps, or the Harbinger Active Resistance Division Corps is described as a "corporate strike team". Really? A corporation with its own super-powered military strike team?! That's beautiful! Maybe the 90's weren't all bad...

19. H.A.T.E.

I've been looking forward to doing today's entry: H.A.T.E. Let me tell you why.
Nick Cage.
Every time I see Dirk Anger I can't help but think of Nicolas Cage. Maybe it's just me, but I would love for Dirk to be played by Nick in the Nextwave movie ...if one ever came about. Now, who should play Elsa Bloodstone...

The truth is, many of us know about the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund but few of us have ever taken the time to donate. You like the First Amendment, don't you?

17. MODOK

I've always had a great affinity for MODOK. And not just because he's a uniqely compelling visual. Oh no, MODOK is not just your ordinary, everyday eye-candy my friend ...he is the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing!

16. Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD. Man, I really wanted to put a Jim Steranko-type, psycadelic background in here, but I simply didn't have the time. At least I was able to put two of my favorite supporting characters from the series, Agents Valentina Allegra di Fontaine and Dum Dum Dugan in there.

Medium: Pen & ink

N.B. I loves me some Jim Steranko
